Nice hike in a natural setting. Great destination to spark some interest in the real world that sometimes we forget we live in.
Holy mackerel! You want a thrill? Walk to the bluff atop Gibraltar Rock. Now THAT'S a view! And a scary one too. There's no fence here keeping one from the edge, so be careful, but man, it's so gorgeous. The Ice Age Trail leading to the bluff pinnacle is beautiful too. It's a very well maintained section that is worn and wide. I guess the secret is out about how beautiful it is at the top -- everyone's going! Two thumbs up for my favorite view in the state!
Beautiful views!! We took the dirt trails up to the peak, but took a paved trail most of the way back. It's really just a trail, though, and not a park -- there's space for maybe 10 cars to park and no bathrooms.
Great hike... I suggest the long winding "Ice Age Trail"
Come here for a spectacular view: not for very small children though. It's high - no guard rail. Lovely hiking area!
It's more scenic and more gradual of a slope... But the direct path is a fun/difficult way as well.
